Shakira wanted Kylian Mbappé to appear as the leading figure in the music video but needed a way to contact him. She therefore asked Hamilton, a long-standing friend, for the footballer’s mobile number.
The request quickly produced the desired result. Lewis Hamilton put Shakira and Kylian Mbappé in contact, and the footballer willingly agreed to participate in the Colombian artist’s project. However, with France not involved in the final, Kylian Mbappé was ultimately unable to hear the song performed live during the show.
