Lewis Hamilton – Scuderia Ferrari, more a dream than reality?
When a champion like Lewis Hamilton’s contract is about to expire and he hasn’t renewed yet, it is normal for rumors to emerge about his future. That was also the case before signing his latest contract extension with Mercedes, before his two-year extension was officially confirmed: at that time, and unlike now, the seven-time Formula 1 world champion was able to count on a very competitive car hat had never let him down. This is why there has now been talk of a separation between Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes, especially in reference to a possible move to Scuderia Ferrari. A scenario that, however, the British driver Sir Lewis has denied.
Lewis Hamilton’s comments
After the qualifying session at the Jeddah Corniche circuit in Saudi Arabia, which the Mercedes driver finished in a disappointing seventh place, four tenths behind teammate George Russell, Lewis Hamilton clarified his intentions and his Formula One future: “Leaving Mercedes? I’m not focused on this. I love this team. I am very grateful to everyone who was able to join me during all this time in the team. I don’t see myself in another car, I don’t see myself giving up. I’m not one to give up. I wouldn’t say I’m enjoying this situation very much, it’s true, but I’m trying to be patient and work with the team to get to a good position, therefore there isn’t much more for me to say. I’m not going anywhere.” – the Mercedes driver pointed out.
