Lewis Hamilton asks for patience after the criticism about Ferrari’s disappointing season
Lewis has a clear focus
The British driver finds himself nearing the end of the season still chasing his first podium with the Maranello team. Despite everything, Lewis Hamilton’s performances with Ferrari have clearly improved since returning from the summer break. The comparison with Charles Leclerc shows the progress Lewis has made in understanding the SF-25 more effectively.
In Mexico, the conditions seemed perfect to finally secure a top-three finish, but for various reasons, it did not happen. However, the main goal is now the next season, which, with the upcoming regulation changes, could give the Italian team a great chance to return to the top and fight for both the Drivers’ and Constructors’ Championships.
Lewis’s confidence in the future
Speaking to Ferrari Magazine, Lewis Hamilton responded to all the criticism surrounding Ferrari’s 2025 Formula 1 season: “Only when you’re inside a team can you truly understand how it works. I’ve been in Formula 1 for a long time, but since I arrived here, everything has felt completely different,” said the seven-time World Champion.
“I don’t blame those who don’t know. All I can do is keep focusing on the things I can control — the way I prepare my work with the team, how I show up every day. There have been several positive moments, but at the same time a lot of responsibility. Everyone expects to win immediately, but Rome wasn’t built in a day,” the British driver added.
The goal now is to have a competitive car in 2026, one that can once again fight for victories. In the recent races, as Hamilton himself highlighted, the team has made several improvements and the results have been visible. There have been no technical updates, but what has changed is the execution, especially in qualifying, which has allowed the team to manage race weekends much better.
