Two months ago, their rumored fling was making international gossip headlines: Lewis Hamilton and Sofia Vergara spotted having lunch together like a close couple. The *Modern Family* actress and the Ferrari driver met at a restaurant in New York, where the well-known American tabloid *TMZ* photographed them.
According to the newspaper, the chemistry between the two (he, 40; she, 52) was through the roof. But two months after what seemed like the beginning of a romantic relationship, they have gone their separate ways.
In a new report released by *RadarOnline*, the seven-time world champion is said to have slowly distanced himself from the Colombian actress, leaving her disappointed and heartbroken. A source revealed to the American platform that Sofia Vergara saw Lewis Hamilton as “the perfect boyfriend and a great catch” and thought she could build something serious with him.
However, the British multiple world champion “was not interested” and allegedly “abandoned her” in a harsh manner. Hamilton and Vergara are still in occasional contact, but according to *RadarOnline*, “communication is one-sided.”
“She is the one who keeps reaching out, hoping for something more – but he doesn’t exactly feel the same way,” explained the usual anonymous source.
Could it be that Lewis Hamilton wants to focus on winning as much as possible with Ferrari? This is the prevailing theory circulating on gossip sites and the real reason why the Briton is supposedly not interested in a serious relationship.
In the past, Lewis Hamilton was in the spotlight for his relationship with Nicole Scherzinger, lead singer of the Pussycat Dolls. The two were together from 2008 to 2015. Over the years, the former Mercedes driver has been linked to numerous celebrities, including model Gigi Hadid and singers Rihanna and Shakira.
