Italian blogger Leo Turrini, who is famously very close to proceedings at Ferrari, reflects on Scuderia Ferrari’s current situation and the rumours regarding Sebastian Vettel’s future with the Maranello team, in a post published on his quotidiano.net blog:
“At certain levels, therefore not only in Sebastian Vettel’s case, it’s normal to have an ‘opt out’ clause, which means that any of the two parties, respecting certain conditions, has the right to cease collaboration before the predefined end date of the contract. At the moment, no one in Ferrari has in mind to release the German (from his contract) in advance. At Maranello, they know that even Captain America wouldn’t be able to win the championship with this car.
I do not know Sebastian Vettel’s intentions. Surely Vettel lives with a feeling of legitimate frustration at the moment. He is in his fifth year, he has given a lot to the team, he has made some mistakes, he won a lot of races. In my opinion he deserves much more respect in the world of media/social media, but I don’t expect my opinion to be shared by others. My view of the situation is not taking into consideration the possible existence of personal problems for Sebastian Vettel. I’ve been doing this job for almost half of century and I’ve always defended the privacy rights of people who I report about.” – Italian blogger Leo Turrini explained.
