The telemetry analysis of the first laps on mediums by Charles Leclerc, Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez in the 2022 Emilia Romagna GP at Imola show that in Tamburello (T2-3) and Villeneuve (T5-6) Red Bull was able to brake a lot later than Ferrari was able to. The first sector was dominant for Red Bull all weekend long and Ferrari had a decent S3 but not really enough to bridge the gap created in S1.
Regarding top speeds, there barely seems to be any top speed difference between the cars, the main problem was braking in those first two big corners and the performance from the cars there was too different between them for Ferrari to have a chance.
