The latest Formula 1 driver rumors (Ferrari Driver Academy related), according to German automobile magazine ‘Auto Motor und Sport’:
Scuderia Ferrari wants to give Robert Shwartzman another year in Formula 2.
The announcement about who will get to drive in Formula 1 could come before the F2 final in Bahrain – it’s most likely Mick Schumacher.
Mick looks to join either Alfa Romeo or Haas. According to ‘Auto Motor und Sport’, Italian driver Antonio Giovinazzi has many supporters at Alfa Romeo and Scuderia Ferrari, so that’s why Mick Schumacher could eventually join Haas for the 2021 Formula One season. Though there is no final decision yet [for Mick the decision is between Haas or Alfa Romeo].
Russian racing driver who currently competes in the FIA Formula 2 Championship for Hitech Racing, Nikita Mazepin, is very likely getting that Haas seat and it looks like Mick Schumacher will be the only FDA driver that will get promoted next year (with Antonio Giovinazzi staying at Alfa Romeo alongside Kimi Raikkonen).
