Lando Norris has returned behind the wheel of his Ferrari F40, with the McLaren driver recently spotted driving the iconic Maranello supercar through the streets of London. The car is back on the road after being seriously damaged in an accident near Monaco at the beginning of 2025.
The crash happened while Lando Norris was away from the Principality. A friend of the British driver was behind the wheel of the Ferrari F40 when the car lost grip in a corner and ended up hitting the barriers.

Lando Norris later made no attempt to hide his frustration over what had happened to the car. Reflecting on the accident, he explained: “It happened while I wasn’t there and, of course, I didn’t take it well at all.”
The British driver bought the Ferrari F40 in 2024. Produced between 1987 and 1992 in just over 1,300 examples, the model remains one of Ferrari’s most iconic and sought-after road cars. It also holds a special place in the company’s history as the final road car presented during the Enzo Ferrari era.
The sight of the F40 back in use therefore attracted plenty of attention. Following Lando Norris’s third-place finish at the Spanish Grand Prix in Madrid, the McLaren driver was photographed once again with the car in the British capital.

The Ferrari’s comeback did not go unnoticed among enthusiasts, particularly after the damage it had suffered earlier in 2025. One social-media user reacted to the latest sighting by commenting: “It’s nice to finally see it back on the road after what happened.”
For Lando Norris, the return marks the end of an unwanted chapter involving one of the most recognisable cars in his personal collection. The F40’s combination of rarity, history and unmistakable design has made its restoration and return to the road especially notable among Ferrari fans.
There is also a curious Ferrari connection elsewhere on the Formula 1 grid. Lewis Hamilton also owns a Ferrari F40, with the seven-time world champion and current Ferrari driver publicly showing the car during the Monza weekend.
