Lando Norris has collected 27 points in this start of the 2024 Formula One championship, just one behind Oscar Piastri. Results that align with the role of the third force that McLaren has assumed from Bahrain, behind not only Red Bull but also a Ferrari that Lando Norris himself recognizes as the most improved team over the winter: “If you think about 12 months ago, the situation was very different. Compared to this time last year, we have far surpassed our competitors. The gap from Red Bull is completely predictable: they stopped developing last year, and therefore they have dedicated a lot of time and effort to try to develop a good car for this year. Probably the most impressive result was that of Ferrari, which was able to make one of the biggest steps forward from last year to this year. However, at the end of 2023, we were not even close to being the second force, so I wouldn’t say that Ferrari has overtaken us.”

“Overall, I am very happy. I can be happier because I always want to be able to compete a bit higher. And certainly, we were hoping to be able to fight at the front.
