Kimi Raikkonen reflects on “two different halves of the year” and how Alfa wants to “learn for next year”. Kimi took part in Thursday's press conference.

Alfa Romeo Racing Finnish driver Kimi Raikkonen took part in Thursday’s press conference ahead of the 2019 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and was asked to comment on the team’s season:

“I think its two different halves of the year. The first part was pretty decent in most of the races and we had bad races in Barcelona and Monaco. Since the summer break we had the speed but could’t get good results. We learnt some things and the last race we brought a new front wing to learn, and to learn for next year. I don’t think anything is different. It’s a shame that we have fallen down quite a bit.” – the Finnish driver said, ahead of the final race of the season.

Kimi Raikkonen was also asked about the difference between racing for Ferrari and Alfa Romeo: “The work we do is not different, the meetings we have are similar and driving is similar as well. I will give it a go and see if we can improve. Time will tell. I think the expectations are different in the two different teams. This year has been different apposed to if you have a difficult season at Ferrari and driving. It should change for next year.” – Kimi added.
