Scuderia Ferrari Finnish driver Kimi Raikkonen admitted that he is not worried about his move to Sauber next season. Many expected the Iceman to retire following his departure from the Maranello team, but the 39-year-old restarts his career with a move back to where he started. The 2007 Formula One World Champion claims he is excited to get started and insists he’ll be able to do more of what he loves doing while at Sauber, as Kimi confirmed in a recent interview for Italian daily newspaper dedicated to coverage of various sports ‘La Gazzetta dello Sport’.
“At Sauber, I can focus more on what I love doing. Why should I worry about going to Sauber?. My goal is to try to help them to succeed and to have fun,” Kimi Raikkonen said, as reported by the Italian media – “When I came back to Formula 1 for Lotus, people said that I had made a mistake and could not do anything, but instead things went differently. It could never happen again,” Kimi Raikkonen added.
Sauber hasn’t won a race, but have improved massively over the course of the season. Future Scuderia Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc has been able to produce consistent points finishes during the 2018 Formula One season.
