Ahead of the 2018 Belgian Grand Prix, a raft of new components have been confirmed by the FIA, who claim Lewis Hamilton is also taking a new MGU-K, while Nico Hulkenberg is set to join Valtteri Bottas in taking a grid penalty. Scuderia Ferrari have confirmed both their cars are running new upgraded power units, but Kimi Raikkonen will only have part of Spec 3 engine update available for the race at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps in order to avoid grid penalties.
Kimi therefore takes new a engine, but not a new turbocharger, MGU-H and MGU-K, as opposed to Sebastian Vettel, who was able to get new parts as he remains within the penalty-free allocation for the season.
