First practice session

To Kimi Raikkonen: “Kimi we go for DRS in case this is the only dry lap. Just to check we have no issues on this wing with DRS.”

To Kimi Raikkonen: “OK DRS on in the middle of the straight, then back off it.”

To Kimi Raikkonen: “So you’re call, Kimi, we’re happy to stay out if you are.”
From Kimi Raikkonen Raikkonen “OK. I’ll stay, I drive.”
To Kimi Raikkonen: “Understood.”

Second practice session:

To Kimi Raikkonen: “Lap mode charge, Kimi.”
From Kimi Raikkonen: “I’d like to do one more lap.”
To Kimi Raikkonen: “OK, understood.”

To Kimi Raikkonen: “Engine eight Kimi. Just ignore the hot water alarm I’ll let you know if we need to do anything.”

To Kimi Raikkonen: “Virtual Safety Car. Stay positive in each mini-sector. Lap mode Safety Car In.”
From Kimi Raikkonen: “OK I have a lot of difficulty with the balance. It’s not nice at all. Very loose feeling in entry and mid-corner understeer. We can keep doing with these tyres but it’s not going to help anything.”
To Kimi Raikkonen: “OK understood Kimi I’ll let you know what we’re doing.”
From Kimi Raikkonen: “It feels like the front is too sharp but then in the mid-corner I’m lacking a lot of front again so I can’t really get the car turned but I cannot even try to go fast in the corner in the first place. Can we come in and we drop the front wing, see what happens with that. Can I come in?”
To Kimi Raikkonen: “OK box and do a front wing adjust. Box this lap, Kimi. So slow down a little bit, Kimi.”
From Kimi Raikkonen: “Take one out.”
To Kimi Raikkonen: “Yeah we’ll take one out. Do grip 11 Kimi. We’re not changing tyres.”

Third practice session:

To Kimi Raikkonen: “This could be the part of the session with the least rain, there could be some rain to come shortly.”

To Kimi Raikkonen: “If you are coming in use Lap Mode Safety Car.”
From Kimi Raikkonen: “Yeah I don’t know yet.”
From Kimi Raikkonen: “I’ll go around once. I’ll take it easy on the main straight.”

Qualifying session:

From Kimi Raikkonen: “There’s aquaplaning on the straight”

To Kimi Raikkonen: “There could be more rain coming. Keep pushing.”
From Kimi Raikkonen: “The car feels on the nose.”
To Kimi Raikkonen: “Understood.”

To Kimi Raikkonen: “We’re P11 Kimi keep pushing for the last lap.”
From Kimi Raikkonen: “Yeah it doesn’t help I’m doing the best I can.”

From Kimi Raikkonen: “I’m not sure we can improve. I had traffic, a McLaren.”

Race:

Lap 5 – To Kimi Raikkonen: “Multifunction W3 for more performance.”
Lap 5 – From Kimi Raikkonen: “I have no idea what you’re talking because you are talking exactly when I’m trying to speak to you.
Lap 5 – To Kimi Raikkonen: “Multifunction W3 for more performance, understood.”

Lap 8 – From Kimi Raikkonen: “Do I have damage on the rear of the car because there’s absolutely zero downforce when I turn in?”
Lap 8 – To Kimi Raikkonen: “So far we see no issues on the data, Kimi. We’ll think about the front.”

Lap 13 – From Kimi Raikkonen: “I think we should try to go to the other tyres as aggressively as we can if the rear end improves.”
Lap 13 – To Kimi Raikkonen: “I know it’s tough Kimi but we need to get close to these guys in front if we’re going to do what you want.”
Lap 13 – From Kimi Raikkonen: “Yeah but I don’t know how to fix the rear end. I cannot attack the corner at all.”

Lap 16 – To Kimi Raikkonen: “K2 on and..”
Lap 16 – From Kimi Raikkonen: “Did you drop the front wing?
Lap 16 – To Kimi Raikkonen: “Yes I did”.

Lap 17 – From Kimi Raikkonen: “How is my rear brakes?”
Lap 17 – To Kimi Raikkonen: “I’ll get back to you. And SOC [state of charge] six. Obviously we’re still potentially racing Stroll.”

Lap 19 – To Kimi Raikkonen: “OK Kimi so remain in SOC six to get the battery back in position. Rear brakes are cooling, don’t worry about the brake alarm. No more K1 this lap.”

Lap 32 – To Kimi Raikkonen: “Multifunction W1.”
Lap 32 – From Kimi Raikkonen: “What is that for?”
Lap 32 – To Kimi Raikkonen: “Performance, Kimi.”
Lap 32 – From Kimi Raikkonen: “Can we not just switch all those things on? Like right now I feel that we’re not going fast at all on the straights off the chicanes. So if you say this is performance, it doesn’t feel like it.”
Lap 32 – To Kimi Raikkonen: “Understood, Kimi. This is optimum lap time. It will be slower on the straights.”
Lap 32 – From Kimi Raikkonen: “It’s definitely not helping me going faster. I lost two-tenths on the straight. So I don’t know where you think I’m going to get it back, but anyhow.”
Lap 32 – To Kimi Raikkonen: “OK we’ll take a look and make sure the settings are optimised.”

Lap 38 – To Kimi Raikkonen: “OK for info Ricciardo is boxing this lap. Ricciardo is in the pit lane. We should be clear at the end of the straight but just be careful.”
