Antonelli stopped to take a group photo with the Ferrari crew, and it did not take long for the image to attract attention online. Mercedes also joined in on the fun, posting a tongue-in-cheek response on its official social media accounts: “It’s always nice to meet some fans.”

During an appearance on the fan zone stage at Goodwood, Kimi Antonelli also spoke about his experience at the iconic event and reflected on the lessons he has learned during his rise through the ranks: “It’s really fantastic to be here. It’s my first time at Goodwood, and today I completed my first hill climb. They told me to take it easy, but obviously I didn’t listen. I tried to push a little.”

Looking back on his development with Mercedes and in Formula 1, the Italian explained: “Throughout my career I’ve learned many things, but one of the most important lessons has been not trying to live up to other people’s expectations.”

“If you focus on what you can do and give your very best, the results will come naturally. One of the biggest mistakes I made last year was focusing too much on the result and neglecting the process. I didn’t place enough importance on the process needed to achieve the goal.”

“This year I’ve gone through a big change in that respect. I have an amazing team. Bono is an incredible person. We have so much fun together, and we’re constantly playing jokes on each other. So far, I’m really enjoying this period.”
