Lewis Hamilton on the Cover
The March issue of the prestigious American magazine Time features Lewis Hamilton on the cover alongside a prancing horse, with the wordplay “Horse Power” and the subtitle: “Now at Ferrari, Lewis Hamilton races to claim his place as Formula 1’s greatest of all time.”
The magazine includes a lengthy interview with the seven-time world champion, featuring remarks from Ferrari president John Elkann and team principal Frédéric Vasseur.
John Elkann’s comments
Throughout the winter, several analyses have focused on the financial implications of Ferrari’s deal with Lewis Hamilton, including comments from Jacky Ickx. Addressing the speculation, John Elkann sought to clear up any misunderstandings.
“I believe some comments suggesting this was a marketing move are really unfair to Lewis,” John Elkann stated, adding, “The truth is that Lewis doesn’t need this, and Ferrari doesn’t need this. What we need to do is win championships and achieve great things on the track. If we manage that, everything off-track will take care of itself. The possibilities are limitless.” – the Ferrari president concluded.
