After the activities held at the Imola circuit for the 30th anniversary of his passing, the Emilia-Romagna town is once again ready to honor the former Brazilian driver. Ayrton Senna lost his life in Imola on May 1, 1994. The Brazilian remains a symbolic figure for the city, which dedicates numerous initiatives to him every year to honor his legacy. Here’s how Imola plans to remember Ayrton on the day of his birth.
How will the event for Senna’s birthday take place?
The HappybirthdAyrton event will take place on March 21, Senna’s birthday, when he would have turned 65. It will be held at the Sala Museo Checco Costa at the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari in Imola.
Special guests will pay tribute to Senna through interviews and stories about the three-time world champion, discussing not only Ayrton the driver but also his human side. Additionally, the first Dedicato a – HappybirthdAyrton 2025 trophy will be awarded to a figure significant to Senna’s history.
The evening is organized by the TAS group (Torcida Ayrton Senna Italia), and when speaking of Ayrton Senna, his charitable work cannot be overlooked. In line with the Brazilian’s values and wishes, the event organizers have decided that all proceeds from the evening will be donated to the Ayrton Senna Foundation in São Paulo.
