Among the variables that could determine the outcome of the race in Jeddah, the choice of the right strategies is certainly key: let’s see what Pirelli predicts for the Saudi Arabian GP in F1 and what Ferrari’s choice might be.
Four options available to the teams
According to Pirelli’s predictions, the race should lean towards a one-stop strategy. The fastest strategy should be to start on the medium tyre and then switch to the hard. In this case, the pit stop window ranges from lap sixteen to lap twenty-two.
An alternative could be to start on the hard tyre and then switch to the medium. If teams opt for this strategy, the pit window would be between lap twenty-eight and thirty-four.
The third option involves starting on the medium tyre and then switching twice to the hard tyre. In this case, pit stops would be between lap ten and sixteen and between lap twenty-eight and thirty-four.
For the Jeddah race, Pirelli has also considered another possibility. In this case, the race could start on the soft tyre before switching to the hard. The pit stop would take place between lap ten and sixteen.
Let us recall that for this weekend Pirelli has chosen to bring a Hard C3, Medium C4, and a Soft C5 compound. These are the sets still available to the drivers:
