The official date and time for Scuderia Ferrari’s car presentation were already known since January 17. On that day, the Italian side announced that it would launch its F1-75 car one month later, on Thursday 17 February (14:00 PM) and all the Ferrari fans as well as many Formula 1 fans that support other teams already marked the date to watch the official presentation of the car that Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz will driver in the 2022 Formula 1 season.
Therefore, three days ago, the focus of the entire Formula One world was on the social media accounts of the Maranello team, that punctually released a 13-minute video at the scheduled time in which it removed the veils from the F1 car for the 2022 championship.

Surprisingly, at 14.11 Italian time on the same day, the International Automobile Federation also decided to publish a video, and not one of less importance, but rather one awaited for the entire winter, namely the one in which President Mohammed Ben Sulayem personally wanted to communicate the decisions taken by Formula 1 side after what happened in the final race of the 2021 world championship in Abu Dhabi.
Generally announced to be arriving by the weekend, everbody was surprised the announcement that Michael Masi has been removed from the role of Formula 1 race director as part of a restructure at governing body – came precisely at the same time as the presentation of the most iconic car of the entire starting grid, Ferrari. From what has been reported by Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport, written by Fulvio Solms, the FIA president did not know what was happening in Maranello: “A disgrace? No, from Paris and Maranello we have such elements to be able to say with certainty that the FIA did not do it on purpose. The president wanted to announce as soon as possible and simply did not know that Ferrari was presenting the car.” – Corriere dello Sport explained.
