According to German automobile magazine ‘Auto Motor und Sport’, Haas will only bring one major upgrade over the winter in order to adapt the car to the new aero rules, which is not great news for Mick Schumacher prospects the 2021 Formula One season. However, Haas hope that Ferrari will make a big step forward in regards to the engine which should help them make some gains. Haas will fully concentrate on developing the 2022 car starting from 01/01/2021.
As also reported by ‘Auto Motor und Sport’, the announcement of the signing of Mick dragged out because all the details between Haas and Ferrari had to be clarified and approved by the lawyers first.
Laurent Mekies (Ferrari) and Günther Steiner will hold talks in the upcoming weeks in regards to Mick’s further training / Ferrari’s involvement in that.
