There will be many new developments in the 2025 Formula 1 season, and one of them will be Ferrari junior Oliver Bearman, who will face his first full season in Formula 1 driving for Haas. Offering his opinion on the “young stallion” from the Ferrari Driver Academy is someone who knows him well, having been at the helm of the American team when the Brit took his first steps within the squad during free practice sessions and various tests.
That person is former Haas team principal Gunther Steiner, who spoke about the 19-year-old to *Mirror Sport*, saying, “I think he’s a great driver, he has proven to be very fast.” Despite the numerous challenges faced during this season in Formula 2, Oliver Bearman has shown that he’s ready for the top class in both instances where he was called up. First with Ferrari and then with Haas, he secured a seventh and tenth place, respectively, making him the first driver in history to score points in two consecutive Grands Prix with different teams.
These results suggest the potential of a champion, although the former Team Principal remained quite cautious in his assessment: “Does he have what it takes to win a World Championship? You find that out after two years driving a Formula 1 car.” – Gunther Steiner concluded.
