So much anticipation for the Ferrari SF-25
We got a small preview with the first tests of the cars (and in some cases, their shapes), but tonight, the 2025 season finally begins for everyone. At the London show, which you can watch live here, strongly supported by Liberty Media – starting at 9:00 PM Central European Standard Time – we will finally see the liveries of the cars that will compete in the upcoming World Championship.
Of course, the anticipation for Ferrari is through the roof, not just because of the Prancing Horse’s prestige but also due to the circumstances of a 2025 season that offers a tête-à-tête with history, that marriage with Lewis Hamilton, which was one of the most stunning market moves ever. Tonight, for the first time, we will see the British driver in red at an official F1 event. Then, #44 and Charles Leclerc will fly immediately to Fiorano, where the new SF-25 will debut on track tomorrow.
To see the colors of the new Ferrari, we will have to wait until around 10:20 PM Central European Standard Time tonight. This year’s shade will be darker compared to last year’s, but the car shown in London will not be the “real” car, as the new colors will be adapted to the SF-24. To see the shapes for 2025, we will need to wait a few more minutes. Once the livery is revealed on stage at the O2 Arena, the Scuderia will provide the first renderings of the SF-25 along with the car’s description. The main novelty is expected to be the front suspension, which, according to the Italian daily newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport (confirmed by editorial sources), should be of the pull-rod type. This would be the first “mark” of the work by technical director Loic Serra, who joined in 2023 from Mercedes but was only able to work on the SF-25 due to his gardening leave.
Finally, to see the actual car on track, we will have to wait until tomorrow, when the SF-25 will run in the classic Fiorano shakedown. During the first tests, Lewis Hamilton already felt the warmth of the Tifosi, calling his first crowd experience one of the best days of his life. Just imagine tomorrow, with the almost obsessive curiosity about the 2025 car and the hopes (perhaps never higher) of returning to the top of the world. And how could it be any different when you have the most successful driver in history?
