Ferrari is preparing for the Las Vegas Grand Prix, one of the most unique rounds of the Formula 1 season. The team arrives in Nevada with a visually striking package. The new racing suits, uniforms, and caps worn by Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton will feature three distinct shades of red, celebrating 20 years of collaboration with Puma, the team’s technical partner since 2005 (click here to buy Ferrari’s special collection for Las Veags 2025).
The special design references three iconic moments in Ferrari’s history. There will be the deep maroon of the origins, previously seen during the Scuderia’s 1000th Grand Prix at Mugello in 2020. Another will be the red of the 2007 car, the vehicle that brought the Drivers’ Championship back to Maranello with Kimi Räikkönen. Finally, the red of the F2008 will be featured, the car that secured the Constructors’ Championship with Kimi Räikkönen and Felipe Massa. This design creates a bridge between Ferrari’s past and present in one of the most spectacular events of the F1 calendar.
Three shades of Ferrari red for success in Las Vegas
The Las Vegas GP takes place in the Mojave Desert, yet nighttime temperatures remain low. In previous years, the track surface never exceeded 15°C. Although the earlier starting time of the race is expected to slightly mitigate this issue, managing the tires and brakes within the optimal window will still be a major challenge. In 2024, most teams opted for a two-stop strategy, although a single stop could be viable if tire degradation proves to be more controlled.
Team principal Frédéric Vasseur described the Nevada appointment as “a unique event on the calendar. The atmosphere, the Saturday night race schedule, and the circuit itself make it something very special.” He also analyzed the technical challenges for the weekend. “In recent events, we have delivered solid performances. We want to repeat that here. It will be crucial to focus on the characteristics of the circuit.”
Cold temperatures will be a central factor. “Managing the tires in very low conditions will once again be a key factor. It will also be important to interpret the race correctly to identify the best strategic opportunities.” The final message is clear. “As always, we will focus on ourselves, ensuring that we leave nothing unexpressed in terms of performance.”
The Las Vegas Grand Prix will therefore combine the high-speed spectacle of the circuit with the celebration of 20 years of the Ferrari–Puma partnership. The new three shades of red will accompany Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton during one of the most iconic weekends of the season, where style, showmanship, and on-track performance will all play a crucial role.
