The Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya is well-known for its challenging corners, such as Turn 3, which is a high-speed right-hander that requires a lot of commitment from the drivers, and Turn 9, which is a tricky left-hand hairpin that often catches drivers out. The long straight leading into Turn 1 also provides a good opportunity for overtaking, making for some exciting racing.
In addition to hosting the Spanish Grand Prix, the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya also hosts other motorsport events, such as MotoGP and the FIA World Rallycross Championship. The track is also open to the public for various activities, such as cycling, running, and driving experiences.
