Let’s take a look at the top speeds from the first free practice session for the 2023 Formula Miami Grand Prix:
The Ferrari SF-23 cars had the lowest top speed in the first free practice session at the Miami International Autodrome in Florida, while Alfa Romeo and Haas were slow too).
The Maranello team were most likely running lower power compared to others: yet, Charles Leclerc was in front of Max Verstappen despite a HUGE 11km/h deficit! Mercedes and Aston Martin finally had decent top speeds: could they be running a higher mode?
Ferrari might indeed be the underdog this weekend at the Miami International Autodrome. Charles Leclerc secured third place with a solid lap in part thanks to being full-throttle for much time (53.8% of the lap, indicating good grip but also lower top speed and possibly power)
