Formula 1 team officials are as determined as ever to finally agree on the new regulations for the 2021 season, with the deadline in June.
The powerful members of each team are currently locked in negotiations with F1 officials over the plans of the future of the sport and how it will be witnessed beyond 2020.
Formula 1 bosses are hopeful they can introduce new rules to try and level the playing field out, with teams like Mercedes, Scuderia Ferrari and Red Bull dominant in the past decade or so. These changes are planned to be on and off-the-track, with each team in discussions over the technical rule changes that could come into play in the 2021 season.
The FIA’s International Sporting Code states that June is the cut-off point for the decisions over the changes for 2021, but there have been suggestions the deadline may be pushed back to December, if they cannot agree on the changes.
