It’s fair to say Scuderia Ferrari Monegasque driver Charles Leclerc pulled off a bit of a shock with his pole position and race win in the first round of the 2022 Formula 1 season, the Bahrain Grand Prix. We knew the F1-75 car was good, but that good? Apparently so!!
However, the circuit characteristics of Bahrain differ significantly from the Jeddah Corniche Circuit, with medium and high-speed corners favoured here over the slower-cornered Sakhir track – where Ferrari’s new engine seemed to enjoy an early acceleration phase advantage over its rival units.
Join us later in the afternoon to follow the latest Formula 1 results, timings, news and updates from the Jeddah Corniche Circuit, as the second race of the 2022 Formula 1 season is about to get underway in Jeddah. Scuderia Ferrari drivers Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc will hit the track behind the wheel of the F1-75 car and challenge Mercedes and Red Bull for the race win in Saudi Arabia.
