We are one step closer to the second 2022 Formula 1 pre-season testing session and the first round of the new championship, which both take place at the Bahrain International circuit this month.
Despite the fact that Formula 1 teams have already enjoyed three days of track time at the Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona, alongside their usual car filming days, next week will represent a new opportunity for the teams to test their new cars and at the same time fans will get the chance to see a lot more footage with the event as cars will be brought back to television screens for the next official pre-season test in Bahrain.
Scuderia Ferrari and the other nine teams will return to the track at the Bahrain International Circuit as they attempt to continue understanding and fine-tuning their cars ahead of the first round of the 2022 campaign, which is scheduled to take place at the same track on 20 March.
While the first Formula 1 test was kept away from TV cameras, this time there will be no avoiding the spotlight in Bahrain with the test set to be broadcast live in the UK and Ireland on Sky Sports F1. The Bahrain testing session will also represent a better chance to have a clearer picture on the values on track based on the race simulations and qualifying-style laps expected.
At the same time, Formula 1 have announced that that testing in Bahrain will run from 10:00 to 19:00 local time, which means 07:00 to 16:00 GMT.
If the test in Barcelona is anything to go by, there will also be a one-hour lunch break sandwiched between the four-hour sessions.

That lunch break also included press conferences, allowing the media the opportunity to interview drivers and team bosses on the ongoing progress. It would place the lunch break in Bahrain at 14:00 local time, or 11:00 GMT.
Cars are expected to be on track throughout the four-hour sessions as the likes Mercedes, Red Bull and Scuderia Ferrari look to learn all they can about their cars for the 2022 Formula 1 season.
