New year, new Formula 1: during the winter, teams prepare their cars for 2024, a Formula 1 World Championship with a record-setting calendar. Let’s discover together the dates for the 24 stages of the program for the new year.
The 2024 F1 calendar will feature a significant innovation. The Circus is set to welcome back the Chinese Grand Prix. For the first time since the onset of the pandemic, Shanghai is back on the schedule: it will be the fifth stage of the championship.
With the Chinese event, the 2024 F1 calendar will reach the record number of 24 locations. In addition to Shanghai, the unfortunate Imola, forced to forfeit last year due to the weather disaster that struck the region in the week before the Grand Prix, joins the 22 venues from the previous season.
The program will also include six “sprint” stages: Shanghai, Miami, Spielberg, Austin, San Paolo, and Losail. Not only are the locations of the Sprint Races changing, but the format is also changing. Details on the new scheduling of sprint races will be officially announced in the coming weeks of 2024.
