With the checkered flag in Abu Dhabi, the curtain has definitively fallen on the seventy-fifth year of Formula 1. But before fully moving into the new era of the sport, it’s time to celebrate the drivers who excelled in their respective categories. Here’s the essential information to follow the live FIA 2025 prize-giving ceremony.
When and where will the FIA 2025 prize-giving take place?
After stops in Bologna, Baku, and Kigali in Rwanda, the FIA’s official award ceremony continues its journey further away from Europe. For the 2025 edition, the event takes place in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, and will be broadcast tonight, Friday, December 12. The ceremony will begin at 19:00 Italian time, which corresponds to 23:00 in Tashkent.
Where can you watch the live event?
Sky Sport will not broadcast the ceremony live. The event can only be followed via streaming in the video below
Who will be awarded?
Of course, the event will honor Lando Norris, who became the 35th driver to claim a Formula 1 World Championship title. Max Verstappen and Oscar Piastri will also be recognized, as they battled with Norris until the final Grand Prix for the championship.
Beyond Formula 1, the FIA will celebrate the winners of all the championships it organizes. This includes Formula 2 and Formula 3, the World Endurance Championship (WEC), Formula E, Rally, and Karting. The ceremony also features special awards: the Action of the Year trophy for the best overtaking maneuver, Rookie of the Year for the most impressive debutant, and the FIA President’s Awards, recognizing excellence, creativity, and the impact of FIA member clubs around the world.
