The selected cars included Charles Leclerc’s Ferrari SF-25, George Russell’s Mercedes W16, and Fernando Alonso’s Aston Martin AMR25. After careful examination, all three vehicles were deemed fully compliant with the FIA’s F1 technical regulations.
This time, the inspection focused on the TPMS system, which stands for Tyre Pressure Monitoring System. This system uses specialized sensors to monitor tire pressures in real time and can alert the driver via a dashboard indicator if pressures drop too low or if there is a sudden loss, ensuring safety remains a priority.
Since manipulating tire pressures can provide a significant performance advantage—given that Pirelli specifies minimum tire pressures (for example, in the Netherlands, 25 PSI for the front tires and 22.5 PSI for the rear tires)—the FIA carried out a meticulous inspection of the system. Officials analyzed the onboard wiring and communication lines between the TPMS control unit, the TPMS antennas, and the main electronic control unit, finding no evidence of tampering or attempts to bypass regulations.
