The 2019 Formula One season hits the overdrive button over the next two months with six races in the space of nine weeks, starting with the Canadian Grand Prix this weekend. The six rounds, taking place in as many countries and across two continents, include some of the sport’s most historic venues and races which tend to produce incident and action.
Scuderia Ferrari, last season’s victors in Montreal, return to Canada with their 2019 season yet to scale anywhere near the heights expected after pre-season. The Maranello team’s Monegasque driver Charles Leclerc previews the race which will take place at the Gilles Villeneuve Circuit:
“The Canadian Grand Prix should be an opportunity to try and bring home a good result. We must do everything well to prepare the car right down to the last detail so that we can get the most out of it. Last week, I was in the simulator in Maranello to work on settings and on improving the car and myself for this round. I find this track very interesting, because it includes various types of corner and a long straight where it should be possible to overtake. Last year, I managed to finish in the points and so this year, the aim is to do better. I really like the city of Montreal itself and its people and the fact they speak French makes me feel a bit more at home. I really hope we can have a successful weekend.” – Scuderia Ferrari Monegasque driver Charles Leclec concluded, as reported by the Maranello team’s official website earlier today.
