Scuderia Ferrari completed it’s full scheduled programme during the three days of 2022 Formula One pre-season testing session at the Bahrain International Circuit and is nou focused on the final preparations for the first round of the new championship. The Maranello team’s technicians are happy with the data which has been collected during the three-day test and Team Principal Mattia Binotto was clearly pleased with how things went for Ferrari in Bahrain:
The work carried out “will allow us to begin to extract the true potential of the car” – an inside source from told Formula 1 experts Giuliano Duchessa and Piergiuseppe Donadoni, who reported that in Maranello there is a certain optimism regarding the correlation of the data gathered in Barcelona and Bahrain, two rather different tracks both in technical and environmental terms. However, it is only a starting point as everything will be confirmed over the course of the 2022 Formula One season, especially with the developments that will be gradually introduced.

Ultimately, the track so far has delivered the message that Maranello has done the job which was expected.
formu1a.uno also confirmed that Ferrari’s Power Unit 066 was used in a slightly higher mode only by the customer teams, Mick Schumacher for Haas and Valtteri Bottas for Alfa Romeo. The power unit designed by Enrico Gualtieri’s team has completed the necessary mileage and scheduled tests, the one that will be used next week in Bahrain should reflect the long development work carried out for over twelve months in Maranello. Not surprisingly, Mercedes and Honda are said to be quite worried about the performance of the Italian unit. But as always, the track will have to confirm this.
