Ferrari announces the launch of a new cutting-edge project: the M-Tech Alfredo Ferrari
While Ferrari’s Formula 1 performance has faced challenges in recent years, the Italian brand is increasingly looking toward the future. Following initiatives like Ferrari Hypersail, the company now unveils a new ambitious project: the M-Tech Alfredo Ferrari.
John Elkann presents Ferrari’s vision for the future
The announcement came from Ferrari President John Elkann during the Capital Markets Day on October 9th, a key event in the global economic calendar that directly involves the Scuderia. During the presentation, Elkann also addressed Ferrari’s current Formula 1 situation, offering reassurance to fans worldwide.
Ferrari’s look toward the future
“With pride, we announce the creation of a state-of-the-art educational center, right here in Maranello. It will provide technical knowledge for a new era, training and inspiring a new generation of engineers, technicians, and innovators: the M-Tech Alfredo Ferrari. The opening is planned for 2029, coinciding with the centenary of Scuderia Ferrari,” John Elkann said. The project aims to create a center of excellence where talented individuals can make a real difference.
The name of the initiative is symbolic: “M” stands for Maranello, the birthplace of the Scuderia; “Tech” reflects the focus on technology and the future; and “Alfredo Ferrari” honors Enzo Ferrari’s father, brother, and eldest son, representing a generational legacy.
A commitment to innovation and talent
“The M-Tech Alfredo Ferrari will pave the way for future innovations, benefiting the Motor Valley and welcoming talent from around the world. This is a personal commitment. I pledge, as President, majority shareholder, and lifelong Ferrari enthusiast, to ensure every decision strengthens Ferrari’s uniqueness and supports our collaborators, whose talent and dedication are the greatest guarantee of our future,” John Elkann added, as reported by Autoracer.
With this initiative, Ferrari aims to secure an even brighter future, particularly in Formula 1, while fostering a new generation of innovators ready to carry the Scuderia forward.
