The revolution of the Prancing Horse is here: the first details of Ferrari’s electric car revealed
Today marks a historic day for the Prancing Horse from Maranello. Just a few hours ago, Ferrari officially revealed to the world the first details of its very first fully electric road car — a moment that represents a truly monumental step in the brand’s legendary history.
During the presentation, the focus was placed mainly on the technical aspects. Rather than describing it as a revolution, Ferrari preferred to present it as an evolution and a refinement of existing technologies, perfectly aligned with the company’s engineering philosophy and attention to performance excellence.
The powertrain of Ferrari’s new electric model promises breathtaking performance figures: 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.5 seconds and a top speed exceeding 310 km/h. These numbers are made possible by four electric motors delivering a combined output of more than 1,000 horsepower, powered by a 122 kWh battery that is fully integrated into the chassis. The estimated range is around 530 kilometers, placing it among the most capable electric supercars on the market.
The battery cells are positioned entirely within the wheelbase, lowering the car’s center of gravity even further than its competitors and ensuring incredibly precise handling dynamics. The active 48V suspension system borrows solutions already tested on models such as the F80, while the all-wheel-drive system comes with four-wheel steering for maximum agility and responsiveness on any type of road.
Ferrari announced a total installed power of 1,129 hp (830 kW), although this figure does not represent the maximum output delivered simultaneously. Instead, it reflects a technical choice allowing the car’s control systems to manage torque and power distribution between the front and rear axles with greater precision, ensuring optimal balance and traction in all conditions.
When it comes to dimensions, Ferrari’s first electric car will be a substantial model, featuring a wheelbase of 2,960 mm and a total weight of approximately 2,300 kg. Despite the weight, the company ensures that the new electric Ferrari will preserve the dynamic balance and driving emotion that define the brand’s DNA.
The road to full production is still ongoing. Ferrari confirmed that the interior design will be unveiled during the first months of 2026, with the official launch planned for the spring of that same year. The model will not only mark Ferrari’s debut in the electric era but also set the tone for the brand’s next generation of high-performance vehicles, combining tradition and innovation in true Maranello style.
