A little more is known about the financial management of Haas F1 when it comes to their drivers. Indeed, the Italian media have reported how much Niki Mazepin pays to be allowed to take a seat in the 2021 car of the American race team for a year. Moreover, Mick Schumacher’s salary has also been published.
The generally reliable newspaper Corriere Dello Sport reports, before the second Grand Prix in Bahrain, that Mazepin will have to pay around €20 million (euros) in order to be able to drive 23 Grands Prix next year. The Mazepin family are the big bosses of Uralchem and have an estimated fortune of around €2.3 billion (euros).
Mick Schumacher earns less than a million
The Ferrari Driver Academy talent will earn €600,000 (euros) in his first season in Formula 1, as the Italian side will pay half of this, while the remaining €300,000 (euros) will come from the sponsors that the 21-year-old driver will bring with him to his new employers. A percentage of the money contributed by the sponsors will be credited to Mick Schumacher’s bank account.
Scuderia Ferrari would like to invest in the career of Mick Schumacher. The main goal is that the young German will make the move to the Maranello-based race team in a few years to follow in his father’s footsteps.
