Scuderia Ferrari has sent out a strong and almost symbolic message ahead of the 2026 Formula 1 season. In recent hours, the Maranello-based team released a new official video across its channels — content that goes far beyond a simple season launch and instead dives deep into the core of the 2026 project, outlining both the technical roadmap and the mental approach with which Ferrari intends to tackle the sport’s new regulatory era.
A revolution that starts with mindset
Opening the video is Charles Leclerc, who immediately makes clear the scale of the transformation awaiting Formula 1. “A much bigger change is coming than anything we have experienced so far. The preparation, the hard work and the motivation are all there.”
The 2026 season will not represent a minor technical evolution, but rather a profound transformation involving energy management, strategic approach and even driving style. In this context, Ferrari knows it must be fully prepared from the very first green light of the championship.
Frédéric Vasseur echoed that sentiment, underlining the importance of mental strength and adaptability. “The launch of a season is always exciting, but I think this one is particularly so. We will need to have a very open mindset at the start of the championship to react to every single circumstance. It’s fundamental to have stability and a group that works with the same focus.”
Energy management and engineering work: the key to 2026
One of the central themes of the video is energy management — an aspect set to become decisive under the new power unit regulations. The ability to recover, distribute and deploy energy at the right moments could significantly reshape the competitive order on track.
Lewis Hamilton placed particular emphasis on this area: “This is the time when you have to learn to be the most efficient driver you’ve ever been. It’s about using every tool at your disposal. It will take a lot of work with the engineers to extract all the potential from the car.”
Efficiency, constant dialogue with the pit wall and a deep understanding of the systems: the new technical cycle will demand complete integration between driver and team. Pure one-lap performance will no longer be enough — intelligent management across the entire race weekend will be essential.
Charles Leclerc also highlighted how the invisible work carried out away from the spotlight is already playing a crucial role. “There is a lot of work going on behind the scenes to make sure we arrive at the first tests and the first race as prepared as possible. Only the track will speak once we put the car down.”
The emotional element, which makes racing in red unique, also emerges strongly in the final part of the video. Lewis Hamilton stressed his connection with the Ferrari environment: “I love this team. It’s magical to be at Ferrari and to feel the energy of the fans. That’s what makes Ferrari so special — the support of the Tifosi around the world motivates us enormously.”
