Lewis Hamilton makes a stylish Monaco entrance on custom Ducati ahead of Grand Prix weekend
The Monaco Grand Prix has always been about more than just racing. It is Formula 1’s most glamorous event, where luxury yachts fill the harbour, celebrities line the paddock and drivers often make headlines before a wheel has even turned on track.
On media day ahead of the 2026 Monaco Grand Prix, it was Lewis Hamilton who captured plenty of attention with a memorable arrival in the Principality.
The seven-time World Champion was spotted riding into the paddock on a custom Ducati motorcycle, combining Ferrari red with unmistakable Italian style. Dressed in Ferrari team gear and wearing a dark helmet, Hamilton made an entrance that perfectly matched the atmosphere of Monaco, where fashion, motorsport and luxury often collide.
The motorcycle itself immediately became a talking point among fans, adding another chapter to Lewis Hamilton’s well-known passion for motorcycles and life beyond Formula 1. Throughout his career, the British driver has frequently expressed his admiration for two-wheeled machines, often using them as a way to unwind away from the pressures of Grand Prix racing.
While the arrival generated plenty of social media buzz, Hamilton’s focus quickly turned to the challenge awaiting him on the streets of Monte Carlo. The Monaco circuit remains one of the most demanding venues on the Formula 1 calendar, requiring absolute precision, confidence and commitment from every driver.
For Ferrari, this weekend could represent one of the best opportunities of the season so far. The unique characteristics of the 3.337-kilometre street circuit place less emphasis on outright engine power and greater importance on mechanical grip, low-speed performance and driver skill — areas where the SF-26 has shown encouraging potential.
Lewis Hamilton himself has already suggested that Ferrari should be more competitive in Monaco than at recent events like Canada, where long straights exposed some of the team’s weaknesses. While he has stopped short of calling Ferrari the favourite, he believes the Scuderia has a genuine chance to challenge near the front.
That possibility makes this Monaco weekend particularly significant. After continuing to adapt to life at Ferrari and already collecting podium finishes this season, Hamilton is searching for another strong result as he strengthens his relationship with the Maranello team.
As always in Monaco, qualifying is expected to play a decisive role. With overtaking notoriously difficult around the narrow streets of the Principality, Saturday’s battle for pole position could prove just as important as Sunday’s 78-lap Grand Prix.
For now, however, Lewis Hamilton has already succeeded in making an impression. Before the action even begins on track, the Ferrari driver has reminded everyone why Monaco remains Formula 1’s ultimate stage for memorable moments both on and off the circuit.
