The new Ferrari SF-25 is ready to hit the track for the first time. On February 19, at Ferrari’s private Fiorano circuit, the official shakedown of the car will take place, with Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton at the wheel of the single-seater set to compete in the 2025 World Championship. This initial test is crucial to verify the proper functioning of all the car’s systems before the pre-season tests in Bahrain.
Ferrari 2025 shakedown behind closed doors
Ferrari has decided to carry out this shakedown behind closed doors to collect data without distractions for drivers and the team. This choice may be motivated by the desire to test new technical solutions away from prying eyes.
Where to position yourself to see Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc’s new 2025 Ferrari
As happened in January, despite the shakedown being behind closed doors, Ferrari fans will still be able to witness the first kilometers of the SF-25 driven by Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc. Here’s where to position yourself.
Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton on track at Fiorano with the new Ferrari SF-25
Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton will be on track at Fiorano with the SF-25 on February 19. The presence of Lewis Hamilton alongside Charles Leclerc makes this shakedown particularly significant. It will be the first time Hamilton drives the Ferrari as an official race driver, marking the beginning of a new era for the Maranello team. Lewis Hamilton had already taken to the track on January 22 at Fiorano for his first taste of the Prancing Horse and during the Pirelli tests in Barcelona on February 4 and 5.
Preparation for testing in Bahrain
After the shakedown, Ferrari will focus on the pre-season tests, which will take place at the Bahrain International Circuit from February 26 to 28, where the Italian media will be present to bring you the first impressions. These tests will be crucial to assess the SF-25’s performance under race conditions and make any necessary adjustments before the season begins.
