Ferrari might have a big surprise for the Las Vegas Grand Prix with a special livery inspired by the movie Gladiator. The Maranello team has chosen to celebrate the release of the sequel to the epic film that made Russell Crowe famous.
The Scuderia has entered into a new partnership with Paramount Pictures in anticipation of the release of Gladiator II. The sequel to the 2000 hit, titled Gladiator II, will hit theaters on November 14, following its premiere in London.
Ferrari, special livery for Gladiator? The speculations
“As part of this initiative, Scuderia Ferrari HP drivers, Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz, will attend the world premiere of Gladiator II in London. The two will wear custom-made tuxedos designed by Ferrari’s Creative Director, Rocco Iannone, to represent the sporting side of the collaboration for the film’s launch.” This was the announcement from Ferrari.
Among the speculations, there is talk of a special livery to celebrate the partnership and the film’s release. It is still unclear whether Ferrari will unveil a completely new livery or if custom stickers will be added to the classic livery, referencing the iconic movie.
The Maranello team is no stranger to special liveries in Las Vegas, as last year it paraded through the Sin City streets with a special livery. Furthermore, a countdown has appeared on the team’s social media, with an announcement scheduled for November 15.
But that’s not all: “At the Las Vegas Grand Prix, actors Paul Mescal, Connie Nielsen, and Fred Hechinger will join us wearing collection looks and bespoke Ferrari clothing. This will bring Ferrari Lifestyle to the forefront, merging the allure of cinema with motorsport in a unique fusion.”
