Formula One motor-racing team Ferrari has extended its partnership with global shipping and logistics company UPS. The new multi-year agreement continues a partnership that first commenced in 2013.
UPS has expanded its presence in motorsports by entering Formula 1® racing through a multi-year partnership with Ferrari four years ago, as the brand’s “Official Logistics and Shipping Sponsor.” The Ferrari sponsorship reinforces the UPS brand globally, positively impacting its business both on and off the track, and underlining their commitment to investing in key growth markets around the world.
UPS chose Scuderia Ferrari for the business opportunities as well as the team’s on-track performance and name recognition. As the Official Logistics and Shipping Sponsor of Ferrari, UPS is embedded in the company’s daily operations, providing critical delivery and transportation services.
The UPS sponsorship with Ferrari brings together two great and iconic brands. UPS and Ferrari each boast histories rich in culture and tradition, and both companies are considered global icons as well as leaders in their respective industries.
As part of the sponsorship, UPS also benefits from significant visibility as Scuderia Ferrari competes in the Formula 1 World Championship, a truly global sporting series running annually from March through to November. To bring this partnership to life, UPS is continually developing ways to deliver real business benefits to their internal and external stakeholders around the world.
Under the agreement, UPS’s branding will thus continue to feature on Scuderia Ferrari’s cars during Formula One races, and on the official racing suits of the team’s 2017 drivers, Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen.
