Ferrari’s recruitment campaign
In a recent interview with the Italian media, Ferrari team principal Frederic Vasseur emphasized that the Scuderia has been quietly strengthening its team: “Even if we haven’t made it front-page news, we’ve made a lot of hires in the last eight months, something like 50-60 employees.” While the arrivals from Mercedes, Loic Serra and Jerome D’Ambrosio, were well-publicized and accompanied by press releases, other hires have been kept under wraps.
Arrivals and departures
The most recent addition to Ferrari’s team is Frederic Cazals, a French engineer who joined from Red Bull. Frederic Cazals had been working for the world championship-winning team since 2021 and, since September of the following year, held the position of aerodynamic engineer. He is a valuable asset with expertise in fluid dynamics, CAE, and CAD—computational aerodynamic simulations—and has a background in aerospace engineering.
However, turnover among second-tier engineers is always high, and for every engineer who joins, others have departed Maranello in recent months. Marco Scourtis, a materials engineer at Ferrari since 2017, moved to Audi in July, while Ryan Greenslade joined Williams two months ago, where he is now serving as a Senior Design Engineer.
It’s worth noting that Ferrari will announce its new organizational structure around the Monza weekend, following the departure of technical director Enrico Cardile, who has moved to Aston Martin, where he will commence work as chief technical officer.
