Although times are changing, there is still a very delicate issue in the world of work that cannot be resolved (or perhaps not even addressed): the gender pay gap, which is the difference in salaries, for equal employment and qualifications, between a man and a woman. To provide an estimate, as of October 2023, the gap was 38%. However, in some leading organizations, significant steps are being taken, hoping that others will follow suit.
In particular, it is noteworthy that Ferrari has received the Equal Salary certification for eliminating the gender pay gap globally. In 2020, it was the first to close the gap in all of Italy, and now this achievement extends to all its locations. Furthermore, it is the first Italian brand to achieve this title and the first luxury sector company to do so worldwide.
Michele Antoniazzi, Head of Human Resources for the Scuderia, commented: “After obtaining the Equal Salary Certification for Italy in 2020, we continued our commitment to gender equality. The certificate obtained today establishes the merit’s primacy, a fundamental lever to attract the best people and ensure the excellence associated with today’s and future Ferrari.”
