Ferrari’s 2026 F1 livery receives mixed fan reaction after unveiling
Last week, Scuderia Ferrari revealed its new Formula 1 livery for the 2026 campaign, introducing a noticeable splash of white to the team’s iconic red design. The updated look accompanies Ferrari’s bid to return to championship-winning form, with Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc once again taking the wheel in pursuit of glory.
Ferrari has not won a constructors’ title since 2008, and the Italian outfit has struggled to maintain consistent front-running performance in recent years. The Maranello team hopes that the new regulations and the revamped SF-26 will allow them to compete at the sharp end of the grid from the season opener. With Lewis Hamilton’s experience and Charles Leclerc’s youthful precision, Ferrari is aiming to maximize performance across all areas, including aerodynamics, reliability, and race strategy.
Following the launch, the RacingNews365 website polled F1 fans to gauge their opinion on Ferrari’s new livery. The results revealed a clear divide among supporters, with a majority expressing that the white accents were too prominent and diluted the classic Ferrari red.
According to the survey, 57.01% of respondents stated they did not like the new design, feeling it featured too much white and lacked the traditional red that has come to symbolize the Scuderia. Meanwhile, 42.98% of fans said they absolutely loved the refreshed livery and thought it looked striking on the new SF-26.
These reactions highlight the challenge Ferrari faces in balancing innovation with heritage. While the team seeks to embrace a modern look and feel for 2026, fans remain attached to the bold red that has defined the brand for decades. As the season approaches, all eyes will be on Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc to see if the performance on track can win over fans who are still debating the new color scheme.
Fan poll: What do you think of Ferrari’s 2026 F1 livery?
- No – too much white, I would prefer more red: 57.01%
- Yes – it’s absolutely amazing and I love it: 42.98%
Ferrari’s new look is more than just aesthetics; it represents the team’s ambitions for the 2026 season. Whether fans embrace it or not, Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc will be tasked with showing that the car can compete at the highest level and bring the iconic red back to the top step of the podium.
