Sporting rivalry can be very bitter, but it always has to be carried out with respect. The top management of Ferrari were present at the Circuit of the Americas (COTA) in Austin, Texas, with the goal of representing the Maranello team in one of the most important markets. President John Elkann and Ferrari CEO, Benedetto Vigna, have therefore joined Scuderia Ferrari in Austin for the United States Grand Prix weekend.
The two managers always have a very secluded role and are careful not to express their opinions in the paddock by avoiding direct contact with the media. This time John Elkann wanted to break the silence to make a statement on the passing of Dietrich Mateschitz.
Dietrich Mateschitz, co-founder and owner of Red Bull, has died at the age of 78. Red Bull confirmed Mateschitz’s passing ahead of the qualifying for the United States Grand Prix in Austin, where the Austrian team can claim their fifth F1 constructors’ title.
Dietrich Mateschitz founded Red Bull in the mid-1980s and under his guidance, the energy drink became a market leader, while showcasing the brand through a range of extreme sports.

To all of them we send an affectionate thought” – Ferrari President John Elkann said.
