Arrival of John Elkann
Ferrari’s president, John Elkann, flew to the Jeddah circuit to be close to the Maranello team ahead of the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, the second round of the 2024 Formula 1 championship.
Naturally, the head of the Italian company was closely watched by photographers and journalists in the Jeddah paddock, and a particular meeting, that with the Red Bull team members, did not go unnoticed. John Elkann, in fact, visited the hospitality of the Anglo-Austrian team, later appearing with Red Bull CEO Oliver Mintzlaff, who also arrived at the circuit today.
Is Adrian Newey on the agenda?
The imagination – and hope – of Ferrari fans immediately turned to Adrian Newey, who could leave the world champions after the internal chaos and consider the possibility of working in Maranello. But Adrian Newey might not be the only topic of discussion between the two teams: the theme could also be political, with the Concord Agreement expiring at the end of 2025 and tensions between Formula 1 and the FIA.
