Italian manager and the current CEO of Formula One Group, Stefano Domenicali, has insisted that Liberty Media Corporation does not favour Scuderia Ferrari as a result of thei great history in the sport, but at the same time he addmited that a competitive Maranello team would be beneficial for Formula 1.
The ex Ferrari boss explained that despite the fact that the Italian side definitely has a “big role” and a rich history in the sport, Liberty Media wants to promote a great fight throughout the entire Formula 1 grid.
“They [Liberty Media] support a great battle between all teams” – Stefano Domenicali explained, in a recent interview for Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport – “Clearly Ferrari plays a big role and everyone hopes they do well, because it also helps the business. Ferrari is unique for what they have done in Formula 1 and therefore they play a big role in the history of motorsport.” – the Formula 1 CEO and former Ferrari Team Principal concluded, as reported by the Italian media.
