Ferrari’s pit crew delivered the fastest pit stop of the Belgian Grand Prix, completing Charles Leclerc’s tyre change in just 2.30 seconds. The Round 10 ranking shown in the image places Ferrari narrowly ahead of Williams and Red Bull in an exceptionally close contest decided by only a few hundredths of a second.
The result carries additional significance because Ferrari already holds the fastest pit stop of the entire season. Lewis Hamilton’s mechanics previously completed a remarkable 2.00-second service, meaning the two Ferrari drivers are now responsible for the leading performance at the Belgian Grand Prix and the outright season benchmark.
Charles Leclerc leads the Belgian GP Ferrari pit stop ranking
Charles Leclerc’s 2.30-second stop secured first place at Spa-Francorchamps, but Ferrari had almost no margin for error. Alexander Albon’s Williams was ranked second with a 2.35-second service, only five hundredths of a second behind the Ferrari.
Max Verstappen followed in third place after Red Bull completed his stop in 2.36 seconds. Kimi Antonelli’s Mercedes was fourth on 2.39 seconds, leaving the four fastest teams separated by just nine hundredths. Gabriel Bortoleto completed the top five for Audi with a time of 2.50 seconds.
Those figures provide important context for Ferrari’s achievement. Charles Leclerc did not top a ranking containing one clearly superior stop and a distant group of rivals. Instead, Ferrari emerged from a tightly packed battle in which even a minor delay could have changed the order considerably.
What the Belgian GP margins reveal
The ranking underlines the precision required during a modern Formula 1 tyre change. Ferrari beat Williams by 0.05 seconds and Red Bull by 0.06 seconds, while Mercedes also remained within one tenth of the fastest time. Every movement therefore had to be completed cleanly as the car was raised, four wheels were removed and replaced, and Charles Leclerc was released.
A pit-stop time alone does not establish how much the service affected the final race result, and the ranking does not provide enough information to attribute a specific strategic gain to Ferrari. What it clearly shows is that the mechanics executed the fastest recorded service of the Belgian Grand Prix against extremely strong opposition.
Lewis Hamilton’s 2.00-second stop remains the season benchmark
Ferrari’s performance with Charles Leclerc also reinforces a broader pattern visible in the season ranking. Lewis Hamilton continues to hold the outright fastest stop at exactly 2.00 seconds, three tenths quicker than the winning Belgian Grand Prix time.
The comparison gives Ferrari two separate reasons to celebrate its pit crew. Lewis Hamilton owns the season’s headline figure, while Charles Leclerc has now added the fastest service from Round 10. Although two standout stops cannot describe the outcome of every Ferrari pit visit, they demonstrate the level the team’s mechanics can reach under competitive race conditions.
With Williams, Red Bull and Mercedes all within fractions of Ferrari at Spa-Francorchamps, maintaining that standard will remain difficult. For the Belgian Grand Prix, however, the order is clear: Charles Leclerc and Ferrari led one of the closest pit-stop rankings of the season.
