The International Federation inspected Charles Leclerc’s Ferrari after the Miami Grand Prix to determine whether it was legal or not.
The FIA’s Verdict
The official document states: “Following the race in Miami, car number 16 [Charles Leclerc’s, ed.] was randomly selected from the top ten finishers for more detailed checks.
“The physical inspections concerned the steering wheel assembly group. The following checks were carried out: the compliance of all components with Articles 17.6, 9.3.2, 8.3, and 8.7 of the Technical Regulations.
“All inspected components were found to be in conformity with the 2025 Formula 1 Technical Regulations,” the statement concludes.
At least, in what has been an extremely difficult start to 2025 for Ferrari, another disqualification for technical irregularities—like the one both cars received in China—has been avoided.
Now we wait to see what result the Scuderia will achieve at its first home Grand Prix of the season, the Emilia-Romagna GP.
