Ferrari has unveiled the updated livery for the official 499P cars that will compete in the FIA World Endurance Championship for the 2025 season.
This marks the third year that Maranello’s prototypes, managed in collaboration with AF Corse, will compete in the HYPERCAR class of the top endurance racing series and at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
The driver line-ups had already been confirmed, with Antonio Fuoco/Miguel Molina/Nicklas Nielsen in car #50 and Alessandro Pier Guidi/James Calado/Antonio Giovinazzi in car #51. The only thing missing was the presentation of the chosen livery, following the unveiling of the brand-new racing suits for the six drivers on Wednesday.
Compared to the previous two liveries, this time Ferrari opted for a stunning dark red reminiscent of past models from Emilia, similar to the shade used on the 488 GTE in 2019. Some sections feature a more matte finish, while the engine cover fin and rear wing are in carbon black.
Of course, the iconic Giallo Modena stripes remain, though this year they have been moved to the upper part of the side panels to make room below for the new illuminated panel required by regulations to display the car’s race position and other information. This also led to a new placement for the #50 and #51 numbers.
The color representing Enzo Ferrari’s hometown is also present on the cockpit roof, extending along the sides and rear wheel arches.
“2025 will mark our third consecutive year in the top class of the FIA WEC, with the goal of solidifying all the good results we have achieved so far and, above all, becoming even more consistent in our performances,” said Antonello Coletta, Head of Ferrari Endurance and Corse Clienti.

“In previous seasons, we experienced ups and downs because 2023 was our debut year, and in 2024, the team had to continue progressing in a category that was new to us. We have continued this learning phase, and in 2025, I hope we can be true contenders for the world championship title.”
“We must work with humility because we are competing against many manufacturers, some of whom have been in this category for much longer than us.”
“We have made several changes to our organization and continue to do so. I believe we have taken a significant step forward, particularly in our technical understanding of the car. The 499P’s development was carried out in a very short and intense timeframe before its race debut in 2023. If we had more time initially, we could have accelerated our learning phase, which instead continued throughout the 2023 and 2024 seasons.”
“We have now improved both our knowledge of the car and all operations, both on track and in Maranello, demonstrating an overall growth trajectory.”
The first race for the two Ferraris will be the 1812km of Qatar from February 26-28, preceded by the collective Prologue tests on February 21-22. A week ago, all three 499P cars, including the #83 AF Corse entry, completed a shakedown at Fiorano to ensure everything was in order before being shipped to Lusail.
Meanwhile, there are no significant updates or evolutions, as the only ‘Joker Evo’ was used in mid-2024 and will remain unchanged for now, as previously stated by Coletta and Ferdinando Cannizzo.
“During the winter, we worked not only on the car but also on all our tools, optimizing every area and improving our competition team,” emphasized engineer Cannizzo.
“Since the second half of the 2024 season, we have made numerous adjustments within the limits of the regulations. Half of these focused on improving reliability, about a quarter on regulatory adaptations, and the rest on optimizing areas where we identified performance gaps compared to our rivals.”
“In 2025, despite not introducing new jokers, there are many areas for improvement. During the winter break, we worked extensively to expand our setup window, evaluating new philosophies aimed at better aerodynamic efficiency on one hand and optimizing tire performance in all conditions on the other.”
“In addition to all this, we are continuously developing our control systems, an aspect that keeps improving across all areas to provide more precise and faster responses to the drivers’ needs.”
