Yesterday, we told you: it was too early to write off a Ferrari still far from its ideal operating window.
We deferred judgment on the Prancing Horse to the following test days, waiting for signs of improved drivability and—cautiously—the corresponding lap times. Roberto Chinchero, journalist for Motorsport.com and Sky Sport F1, also confirmed that the drivers dedicated the first day to working for the team. And a first verdict seems to have arrived.
Has Ferrari found the right path?
During the first hour of the morning session on the second day of pre-season testing in Bahrain, Lewis Hamilton appeared significantly more comfortable behind the wheel of the SF-25.
The seven-time world champion completed two consecutive laps (separated by one battery recharge lap) with the best performance seen so far. In short, Ferrari has sent a message, offering a small sign that it has found a good balance for the car. It’s important to remember that these are only tests with no competitive value, but what we’ve seen so far is undoubtedly intriguing for the season ahead.
